Rain gardens serve the purpose of addressing local flooding issues and filtering stormwater runoff. This Growth Initiative program is open to students in grade 5 - Adult.
These play a big part in keeping the Cuyahoga River clean and ensuring it remains a vital part of our community. Come join a field trip excursion to see the Cuyahoga Falls Rain Garden Reserve and learn how rain gardens function, their importance, and what to keep in mind if you want to create your own. Please dress accordingly for the weather as this will be a rain-or-shine event in addition to doing some upkeep of the rain garden itself.
Part of the Cuyahoga Falls Growth Initiative, this program is presented by Bryce Pulley, the Public Utilities and Community Outreach Coordinator specializing in environmental education from the City of Cuyahoga Falls. Registration is recommended.
All adult programs offer ASL interpretation provided by request. Call 330-928-2117 ext 2000 or email adultservices@fallslibrary.org. Please contact the library at least two weeks in advance.
